The work of the General Women’s Union since its establishment has been full of achievements and gains that contributed in translating the vision of the UAE government towards empowering women and their leadership, thanks to the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation the pioneer of women's work (Mother of the Emirates) and her diligent follow-up, Emirati women have been able to achieve many gains as a result of the programs and projects launched by the General Women's Union over the past decades. Therefore, through this section, we shall document the most prominent and important achievements towards adopting the best practices in order to bring Emirati women to advanced ranks in various fields
From this standpoint, we believe that each of the last four decades of the work of the General Women's Union has been characterized with a certain aspect, given the special requirements and priorities of each.
